Latin Servers: Dell & HP Grow Most

Dell grew its Latin America server unit shipments by 30.9 percent in the first quarter. That was more than any other vendor, according to new data from Gartner. However, Hewlett-Packard leads the way in revenue growth, the data shows.

"Dell had the highest shipment growth rate of the top 5 vendors," says Lillian Alvarado, Gartner's Latin America server analyst. "Dell rebounded after a slowdown in Q4-2007 and posted double digit growth both in revenue and in unit shipments."
