How often do you travel to Latin America?

I relocated from Geneva to Sao Paulo 18 months ago because of the growth of our business in the Latin American region. I now spend at least a week each month on the road, most frequently travelling to Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile.

What is your favorite hotel?

When travelling on business, for me, it is all about being in a convenient location for meetings. My favourites are not very inspiring, but good for business : the recently opened JW Marriott in Bogotá which has a great lounge for meetings, and the Hotel Habita in Polanco Mexico City, a central boutique hotel with a great restaurant downstairs.

What is your favorite restaurant for business?

While I am generally not a fan of chain restaurants the Peruvian chain Astrid y Gaston - which has restaurants in Lima, Santiago, Bogotá, Mexico City and elsewhere across the region - is very good. But my real favorite is Puerto Madero in Polanco, which has fabulous steak.

What is your favorite airport?

Unquestionably Santos Dumont in the centre of Rio. You get the best views of Rio flying in and out, and the shuttle between there and Congonhas in Sao Paulo is great for hopping back and forth for meetings.

What is your least-favorite airport?

In the Latin American region: surely everyone agrees Guarulhos is the worst...?
