Mexico is Latin America's richest country per capita and Haiti the poorest, according to the latest data from the International Monetary Fund analyzed by Latin Business Chronicle. The ranking is based on GDP based on purchasing power parity in current international dollars. For 2009, the IMF estimates Chile will be the richest country.
